the iditarod is a dog sled race run each year in march. the mushers start in anchorage, alaska, and race to nome. the distance is about 1800 kilometers (1125miles).
in 1986, susan butcherr won the race. her recordd breaking time was 11 days and 15 hours.
at each check point the dogs were fed, rested and examined by a vet. thiss toook a average of 3 hours at each checkpoint. in addition, each team was required to make one 24-hour stop at one of the checkpoints and two 8-hour stops at two other checkpoints.

1.what was the average speed of the dog team from start to finish?

2.what was the average speed of the dog team whilee it was actually on the trail?

Pleaseee also state how you solved each one:)

1800/11.625

154.8km/day
